Hosting and server logs

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) through its global network, including servers in the EU. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes the technical data your browser sends – IP address, time, page requested, browser type – to deliver the page and to protect the site against attacks. This is necessary for the operation of the site (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and offers a data processing agreement with EU standard contractual clauses. We do not keep server logs ourselves.

Fonts, images, audio

All typefaces and images are delivered from this site's own hosting, the music from our audio address audio.enisrotthoff.com at the same provider. Nothing is loaded from Google Fonts or other third-party servers when you read a page. Links to Apple Music, Spotify and other sites transfer data to them only when you follow the link.

Player

The music player remembers your volume setting in your own browser (local storage). This stays on your device and is never sent to us. We count how often each cue is played; the count holds nothing about the listener.

Email

If you write to us by email, we use your address and message to answer you (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR, or f for other enquiries). The mailbox is hosted by Google (Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

Your rights

You can ask us at any time which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable form, and object to processing based on our legitimate interests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; for us that is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
